- None

New items:

Recap of quality related presentations at DesignCON IBIS summit:
- Bob: Greg Edlund talked about the AMI checklist
  - There were 4 categories
  - Some items were debatable
    - It was not unanimous that only Linux and Windows need to be supported
- Mike: That may be a minimum set
- Bob: Greg also showed an IBM lab report
  - It documents jitter, eye opening, etc.
- Anders: Greg may be rushing things a bit
  - Opal is not standard yet

Mike showed a document from Bob on the 5.1 release plan:
- Bob: This is a minimal release
  - Tables were a show stopper, relatively undocumented
  - Mike's recent bug is a Table issue
  - TechAmerica funding is a problem
  - We are now cashing in on prepaid development funding
  - 6 BIRDs for standard IBIS will be incorporated
    - Some require no action
- Mike: Does BIRD141 impact quality?
- Bob: A time point alignment rule was relaxed
  - some changes are additions to section 10, guidance
- Mike: Will Atul add new messages?
- Bob: Yes
- Mike: It would be good if we could review messages before they are final
- Bob: We will not capture 5.0 rules on top of 5.1 rules
  - The decision was made to support subversion 5.1 AMI files
- Mike: What 5.0 syntax would become illegal with this change?
- Bob: Usage Out AMI parameters with Default will be illegal, for example
  - There will be new checks to make sure Default makes sense
- Mike: This says "Description is optional"
  - It is now required for Reserved_Parameters
- Bob: That was not intended
- Mike: Descriptions are important
  - Can they span lines now that the 120 character limit is gone?
- Bob: EDA tools use that differently
- Mike: regarding item 1, will the Description ever be enough?
- Anders: A separate document really is needed
- Mike: What does the BUG124 item mean?
- Bob: That was reported by Curtis Clark on Ansys

Mike: Will we have a chance to review new parser messages?
- Bob: There will be parser code review group
- Mike: Can we get an updated message spreadsheet?
- Bob: Probably

Mike: Eckhard has presented a tschk2 bug report
- A -canonical-v1 s24p (20MB) conversion works on Windows but not Linux
- Bob: We should see what happens with a smaller s2p testcase
- Eckhard: I will try that
- Anders: It could be test on Windows running under Linux

Next meetings:
- Next meetings Feb 21 and Feb 28

Feb 21 agenda:

- Discuss IBISCHK5 parser expansion for AMI

Meeting ended at 12:17 Eastern Time.
